Lake Geneva Cruise Lines Guide to Parking Downtown

Planning to take a scenic tour with Lake Geneva Cruise Line? Before you hop aboard, it’s important to know where to park. While Lake Geneva Cruise Line does not have its own parking lot, the City of Lake Geneva offers several options nearby—including paid lots, street parking, and a few free alternatives.
Here’s what you need to know before your visit to the Riviera Docks.
No Onsite Parking at the Riviera
Lake Geneva Cruise Line is located at the historic Riviera Building at 812 Wrigley Drive. There is no private parking directly available for cruise guests, so all visitors will need to use public parking in downtown Lake Geneva.
Paid Parking in Downtown Lake Geneva
Downtown Lake Geneva operates a metered parking system that includes street parking and several public lots. Parking is enforced daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
- Rates: $2/hour Monday–Thursday; $4/hour Friday–Sunday
- Time Limits: Most meters and lots have a 5-hour maximum, except Lot I which allows up to 10 hours
- Payment Options: Credit card, coins, or through the ParkMobile app
For the most convenient access to the Riviera Docks, look for spots along Wrigley Drive, Center Street, or in the nearby public parking lots.
Closest Paid Parking Lots
Several paid public lots are located within a short walk of the Riviera:
- Lot A (Cook Street) – In between Geneva St and Main, St, this lot is paid and a short walk from the Riviera
- Lot H (Center Street Lot) – Just a short walk from the docks, located between Center Street and Wrigley Drive
- Lot I (Next to Seminary Park) – About a 9-minute walk to the docks, this lot allows longer stays with a 10-hour limit
These lots fill quickly, especially on weekends, so arriving early is recommended.
Free Parking Options
If you’re looking to save on parking fees and don’t mind a short walk, there are a couple of free public lots available:
- Lot D (Sage Lot) – Located behind the Geneva Lake Museum off Sage Street, approximately 0.3 miles from the docks
- Lot E (Dunn Field) – Near Dunn Field and the skate park, about 0.4 miles from the docks
These lots are free and open to the public but can be limited in availability during busy times.
Some side streets away from the downtown core may also offer free parking without meters. Be sure to check signage carefully to avoid time limits or restrictions.
Accessible Parking
Designated handicap parking is available throughout downtown and at most public lots. Vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard or plate can park at metered spots for free, with no time limit. However, the individual with the disability must be present when the vehicle is parked.
Seasonal Parking Notes
Parking meters are enforced from February 1 through November 14. During the off-season—November 15 through January 31—all parking is free throughout Lake Geneva.
Parking Tips for Cruise Guests
- Arrive early, especially on weekends or holidays, to secure the best spots
- Use the ParkMobile app to pay and extend your time without returning to the meter
- Plan for a short walk if using the free lots—enjoy the lakefront path or local shops along the way
Getting to your Lake Geneva Cruise Line tour is easy with a little advance planning. Whether you choose convenience with a metered spot near the docks or prefer a scenic walk from a free lot, there are plenty of parking options to get you ready for a relaxing day on the water.
