Hop aboard this cruise with pre-made teams of five and get ready for an exciting trip. Once aboard, you will be given a worksheet you must solve to determine the location of the first geocache. What Is Geocaching?

Geocaching is an outdoor, recreational activity where a GPS device or a mobile app is used to find hidden containers called “geocaches”. These containers are located all over the world, including here at Lake Geneva!

Where Are the Geocaches Hidden?

This is part of the fun. While you are not told exactly where each geocache is hidden, your captain can give you clues, leading you to each of the ten hidden treasures. The geocaches are hidden along the shoreline of Lake Geneva, making this tour a fun and challenging opportunity. Your captain will drop you off on shore to discover these geocaches, and once you have found one, you must take a picture before continuing onto the next.

What Can You Expect to Find?

Each geocache is unique and holds a different item, typically. Items can range from a paper clip to a small stuffed animal. Part of the fun is that you never know what you’re going to get! Geocache items aren’t to be kept, however. These items are to be found and replaced, so that another person can enjoy the fun of geocaching.

What Else Do You Do on the Boat?

The main purpose of this tour is geocaching. However, your group will also get a ride on our boat to your destination, as well as a ride back so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Geneva. Teams can participate in this geocaching challenge for points, or just for fun. If points are involved, there is always the opportunity to bring prizes for your group to add to the competition.
